G.S.V.V. Veracles is the Student Volleyball association of Groningen

For 57 years, Groningen Student Volleyball Association Veracles has been an integral part of the Groningen volleyball scene. Not only is G.S.V.V. Veracles the greenest and most sociable student volleyball club, but now also the highest-ranking student volleyball club in the Netherlands! With no fewer than 17 women's teams and 8 men's teams, we offer high-level volleyball for both beginners and experienced players.

The Greenest and Highest Playing

Veracles is not only the greenest student volleyball club in Groningen, it's also the highest-ranking student volleyball club in the Netherlands. It's also by far the most fun! We offer all volleyball options: from beginner to Super Division level, weekdays and weekends. Want a taste of the atmosphere that makes Veracles so unique? Take a look at the photos . Volleyball

With seventeen women's teams and eight men's teams, from Third Division to Super Division, we have something for everyone. What's more, all Veracles teams play their home games simultaneously at the University Sports Centre on home match days , which is a real treat. On those Saturdays, all Veracles members cheer each other on to victory from early morning until late at night, then continue the party at our local pub, Café Merleyn, or at the ACLO at the Ballersz. Prefer not to play volleyball on the weekend? Veracles is definitely the place to be. Veracles has four enthusiastic women's weekly competition teams that play their matches on Wednesdays.

Activities

There's plenty to do at Veracles even off the volleyball court! Besides the monthly drinks at Café Merleyn, we regularly organize fantastic theme parties. Veracles also offers a club weekend, a hitchhiking competition, a winter sports event, our own Veracles Beach Tournament , and the Veracles Preseason Tournament . We also participate in the KEI-week every year. Too much to list here! All of this is made possible by the many enthusiastic committees within the club—yet another reason you'll never be bored at Veracles!
